We Want You!
My name is Joe Millado and I’m a Regular Joe—just like you. And I, too, am just as concerned about the current direction our great country is heading toward. We’ve kicked the can down the road so far in Washington, and we are at the end of it.
But the truth is, the current state of the union should be shouldered by every one of us. The good news is we can start doing something about it today. In our country’s history, we’ve had to make tough decisions at the right moments to get us back on track. We can either go backwards—or plot a new course forward. But before you can join me, you should have a chance to get to know me.
As a first-generation Filipino-American, I was instilled with strong family values and work ethic by my dad, Ben, an accomplished civil engineer in our great city of Jacksonville, and by my mom, Linda, who’s dedicated her life as a teacher for more than 24 years. Together, Ben and Linda raised five kids; I am the youngest.
I’m a Jacksonville, Fla., native, attended Bishop Kenny High School, and graduated with cum-laude honors. Later, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice at the Florida State University. After I graduated in 2007, I interned for the U.S. House of Representatives, and worked hard to move up the ladder to become a senior policy advisor. Currently, I own a small business and proudly serve as Vice-President to the Bayanihan Club Incorporated – a Filipino American nonpolitical 501(c)3 charitable organization.
